The following is a suggestion for a Christmas gift idea. The idea comes from Creative Incentives. E: email@example.com
Do you or someone you know enjoy knitting, crocheting or any other forms of textile expression?
Do you or someone you know like being around like-minded people, who love yarn?
Do you or someone you know think Tasmania is Australia’s beautiful southern most state?
If you answered yes to these questions, I think youor someone you know needs to join us in March 2017 for the inaugural Yarn Ramble - Tasmania.
The object and aim of this event is to invite all makers and creators and the wider yarn community, to come together in one place over a week long of F*U*N*.
We have being inspired by the dozens of Yarn Crawls taking place in the US and have decided Tasmania will have the first Yarn Ramble in Australia.
You’re invited to visit a selection of yarn shops, farms and studios where you can enjoy random demonstrations or book signings and purchase wonderful products at discounted prices. It’s like a scavenger hunt in a way as we ask that you collect stamps on your passport as evidence of your visit and at the end, if your passport is complete and looking very pretty, you can go in the running for a wonderful prize (and of course the kudos of completing the task).
To begin, you’ll need toREGISTER. Basic entry to participate is $50 and includes a tote bag to fill with woolly goodies, passport and pdf maps of where your check off points are. The aim is to get your passport signed off with as many stamps from participating venues as you can at your own pace (you have one week to complete) and under your own steam. That’s it – simplicity at it’s finest. OR if that seems too onerous and you want to go to the next level, we’ll be running coach transport to the out of town venues (enjoying lunch and visiting nice spots along the way) and also producing a gala dinner event. These extra opportunities add to the costs of the event but it means you get to enjoy yourself without the hassle and more chances to network with your people.
f you need accommodation, we’ve arranged special rates with a few of Hobart’s wonderful hotels which can be booked via the links on our website. You’ll also need to arrange your own flights if coming from the mainland - both Virgin and Jetstar offer services to Hobart.
You may have further questions - full details are on our website Creative Incentives - clickhereto visit. And of course if your queries aren’t answered on the website, phone us on 0417 132 463 to see if we can talk it through.
