How can artists support HKWS and raise awareness of the growing epidemic of domestic violence? By participating in the 2017 Apron Project. In the last 2 years, talented artists have created 100 stunning aprons which have raised over $20,000 for HKWS. Beautifully executed, each apron is ahandmade, painted, stitched and sewn work of artcreated by artists around the world united to support women and children in crisis.
This year’s target is 100 artists and 100 aprons reflecting growing worldwide interest and support. 2017 will see the Apron Project spread its wings to support 3 additional shelters in the Women’s Community Shelters network and head to Wisconsin, USA to co-host with Oh Hello Happiness, a special benefit for Hope House Manitowoc County.
